Seriti Le Kaelo Independent Party launches manifesto in Rustenburg
Supporters of the newly formed Seriti Le Kaelo Independent Party (SLK Party), say they are confident that their party will bring changes in Rustenburg in North West.
The party has launched its manifesto in Monnakato outside Rustenburg.
Party supporters say they have endured years of unfulfilled promises, hence the decision to try a new party.
“Young people are suffering.
Elderly people are suffering.
When we ask the council for help, we don’t get any joy.” “I’m supporting SLK, because I have been voting for over 30 years, but there are no improvements.” “I can see that SLK’s priority is education.
They don’t want us to work at the mines or at the municipality.” The president of SLK Party, Kagiso Seleke says their aim is to turn the tide for communities.
“We are bringing and also reviving the dignity of our communities.
We want to better service our communities, because whatever that we experienced over the past years, is not something that we are really proud of and it’s not something that we really like to see our communities going through.
So, that’s why then we gave birth to this baby, so that we can bring the changes.” Reporter: Simthandile Ntobela
