Alleged mastermind questions accused three in Lusikisiki mass murders

The alleged mastermind in the killing of 18 people at Ngobozana in Lusikisiki , in the Eastern Cape, Mzukisi Ndamase who is representing himself, has cross-examined accused number three, Siphosoxolo Myekethe, at the Mthatha High Court special sitting in Lusikisiki.

Ndamase put it to Myekethe that he is aligning his testimony with that of the state witness, Lwando Abi.

According to the evidence in court, accused number three Myekethe remained outside the premises when people were killed in Ngobozana.

Myekethe alleges that he was not armed on the day of the ordeal. He confirmed receiving a video of politician Mncedisi Gijana being killed from Ndamase.

Ndamase then questioned why he did not show the said video to the police, as he was a parolee and was not allowed to be part of any criminal activities.

In response, Myekethe told the court he exercised his right to delete the video as he did not trust the police.

He further told the court that he followed Ndamase’s instructions in fear of being killed should he defy him.

The two and their co-accused are facing a string of allegations, including murder and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
