Luke Bryan's son thanks fans for prayers after painful high school football injury

Luke Bryan's son suffered an injury Friday while playing quarterback during a high school football game.

Thomas Boyer Bryan, 18, exited a game after landing on his right shoulder when he was sacked during the opening drive, according to The Tennessean.

Thomas Boyer Bryan, who goes by "Bo," was later spotted on the sidelines wearing a sling on his right arm as his Battle Ground Academy team played against Pope John Paul II Preparatory School in Tennessee .

Bo told The Tennessean he would undergo an X-ray following the game.

"I don’t know what we’re looking at yet," coach Bobby Bentley told The Tennessean.

"We’ll have to figure this thing out.

That’s the challenge for us as a team and as coaches.

What do we do? How do we do it? We’re going to figure it out." LUKE BRYAN TRIES HIS HAND AT WHITE HOUSE PRESS SECRETARY WITH JASON ALDEAN BY HIS SIDE On Instagram the following day, Bo told his social media followers that he broke his collar bone.

"Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

We will be back," he said, per USA Today.

Bryan's representatives did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.
