Projectile hits tanker with five Indians on board in Strait of Hormuz — Indian minister
NEW DELHI, October 17. /TASS/. The oil tanker MT ST 3, which had 15 Indian sailors on board, was hit by a projectile in the Strait of Hormuz on Friday wounding no one, India’s Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal said.
According to him, on October 14, another tanker, the YARA J, which was carrying nine Indian sailors, came under a drone attack off the coast of Romania. All 24 Indian citizens on both vessels are safe with no fatalities or injuries, Sonowal wrote on X.
He noted that the Indian authorities are monitoring the situation and maintaining contact with the companies managing the vessels to ensure the safety and well-being of both crews.
