Damaged civilian facilities in Samara Region, 297 downed UAVs: Ukrainian attack aftermath

MOSCOW, September 22. /TASS/. Air defenses downed 297 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over Russian regions overnight, the Defense Ministry reported.

As a result of the Ukrainian attack, one civilian died and four others were injured in Russia’s southwestern Samara Region.

TASS has compiled key information about the aftermath of the Ukrainian attacks.

- On-duty air defenses intercepted and destroyed 297 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over Russia overnight, the Defense Ministry reported.

- According to its statement, the drones were downed over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kursk, Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov, Ryazan, Samara, Saratov, Smolensk, Tambov, Ulyanovsk Regions, as well as Crimea.

- Air defenses destroyed 28 Ukrainian drones over the Voronezh Region overnight, Governor Alexander Gusev wrote on his Max channel.

- Russian servicemen repelled a Ukrainian drone attack on the Samara Region overnight, Governor Vyacheslav Fyodorishchev said on his Max channel.

- One civilian died and four others were injured in the drone attacks on the Samara Region, Governor Vyacheslav Fyodorishchev emphasized.

- He added that civilian facilities, including private houses and vehicles, were damaged in the attacks.

- According to the regional head, emergency response teams are now dealing with the aftermath.

- The glazing of several houses, a building's roof, and a car were damaged in Samara, city head Ivan Noskov said on his Max channel.

- Relevant agencies are working at the site to provide the residents with all the necessary assistance, he noted.

- Russian servicemen thwarted a drone attack on an industrial facility in Novokuybyshevsk in the Samara Region, the city administration reported on its Max channel, citing mayor Viktoria Katkova.

- A private house was damaged by debris from a downed drone in Voronezh, regional head Alexander Gusev pointed out, adding that there were no casualties.
