OANA media forum to discuss steps toward sustainable media community of Asia-Pacific

MOSCOW, September 21. /TASS/. A media forum to mark the 65th anniversary of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) will kick off in Moscow on Monday. As OANA’s chair-agency, TASS will host the dialogue of a global information majority.

The plenary session will discuss efforts toward establishing a sustainable media community and the role of OANA in shaping the future information space amid rapid changes in the Asia-Pacific.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will deliver a video address to the forum. Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, Leonid Slutsky, chairman of the international committee of the 8th Russian State Duma, President of the Global Fact-Checking Network (GFCN) Vladimir Tabak, and Andrey Kondrashov, TASS Director General and OANA President, are expected to take part in the forum which will focus on the fight against fakes.
