Matteo Paz, a dedicated high school senior, has innovatively created an AI model called VARnet, which meticulously examined extensive datasets from NASA's NEOWISE mission.

Remarkably, VARnet discovered around 1.5 million celestial objects that were previously unrecorded.

This historic achievement secured him the top accolade at the prestigious Regeneron Science Talent Search, and he is now collaborating with respected Caltech astronomer Davy Kirkpatrick in further research.
