Mahatma Gandhi Cancer Hospital & Research Institute (MGCHRI), Visakhapatnam, has successfully completed 300 Bone Marrow Transplants (BMTs), becoming the first hospital in Andhra Pradesh to achieve this milestone.

Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, Managing Director and Chief Surgical Oncologist, MGCHRI, Dr Murali Krishna Voona said that completing 300 Bone Marrow Transplants reflects the expertise, teamwork and commitment behind our programme. Every transplant represents the trust of a patient and family, and we remain committed to making advanced care more accessible across the region. He shared that the MGCHRI’s BMT programme treats conditions including leukaemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, thalassemia and aplastic anaemia with specialised services for adults and children.
