Two construction labourers from Andhra Pradesh drowned after allegedly slipping into an agricultural well on the outskirts of Chintakunta village in Kathalapur mandal of Jagtial district, Telangana, on Tuesday (October 13, 2026) night.

The bodies of 25-year-old Anand Babu, and 23-year-old Kotha John, both natives of Vinukonda in Palnadu district, were found floating in the well early on Wednesday.

Police retrieved the bodies after the local villagers alerted them and shifted them to the Government General Hospital in Jagtial for post-mortem. The two are suspected to have accidentally slipped into the well while sitting on its edge on Tuesday night.
