Wedding of the week: Newlyweds turn heads as they take TransPerth TRAIN to reception

Amber and James first met at The Guildford Hotel, not knowing at the time they would go on to host their wedding reception there.

As performing arts enthusiasts, the couple chose to host their ceremony in the breathtaking Heath Ledger State Theatre foyer.

In an unconventional twist, they decided to take the TransPerth Metronet train to their reception, turning many heads as they walked through crowds in their wedding attire.

A highlight of the evening was the couple’s first dance, which was a foxtrot to The Fate of Ophelia by Taylor Swift.

The ceremony took place on September 22, 2026, at The State Theatre Centre of WA, followed by a reception at The Guildford Hotel.

The bride wore a spectacular strapless gown from True Society by Tuscany Bridal with Bared Footwear shoes. The groom bought his suit from Institchu.

Two days after the wedding, Amber and James jetted to Nusa Dua, Bali, to enjoy a relaxing honeymoon by the pool with a cocktail in hand.
