MK Party supporters vow to vote for change in the upcoming polls

Hundred of uMkhonto weSizwe Party supporters have gathered at Mnini Sports Ground in uMgababa, south of Durban, for a mini rally ahead of the upcoming local government elections.

The party’s provincial leaders are expected to outline their plans to address community challenges and explain how they intend to improve service delivery if elected.

Young people attending the rally say they want the party to prioritise youth empowerment and efforts to combat drug and substance abuse.

Sphelele Mpanza and Snenhlanhla Memela are amongst the young locals in attendance.

“So, today we are told that this programme will be joined by also the eThekwini Mayor candidates for the Mk Party as well as the counsellor candidates for the party.

I am looking forward to it and I am waiting to hear what the party basically has to say regarding youth unemployment, crime and a whole lot of social issues we are facing as young people.” “We are here because we would like to get change.

We want our land back and we hope that MK Party will deliver a message that will change and bring hope to us that will empower the youth and also speaking about jobs.” 17 days remaining until the significant day when South Africans will exercise their voting rights to conclude the current GNU period and establish a new direction for the nation’s future. #SithathaOmaspala #LGE2026 https://t.co/QVd6BkqKdr — uMkhonto WeSizwe Party (Official) (@MkhontoweSizwex) October 18, 2026
