Musina Centre deportation of undocumented immigrants officially ends

The deportation of undocumented immigrants at the Musina Repatriation Centre in Limpopo has officially ended.

The once busy Musina Repatriation Center started scaling down a week ago after embassies representing different countries started leaving the facility.

Home Affairs Department and the police are vacating the centre on Friday.

Home Affairs Chief Director Albert Matsaung says service providers have been given until Sunday to remove all marquees.

“The entire process of officially vacating the centre has started.

The embassies have moved out of the facility.

All the other government departments that have been a part of this process will also be pulling out of the facility.

What we are also waiting for from today until Sunday, is for all service providers that have made it possible to establish structures will also be withdrawing.
