NPA denies issuing arrest warrants for March and March leaders
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has denied that warrants of arrest were issued against March and March leader Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma and her husband, Xolani Zuma.
This is after the advocacy movement issued a statement suggesting warrants for the couple’s arrest were issued.
March and March has been at the forefront of national campaign against undocumented immigration in South Africa.
The National Prosecuting Authority’s Response to Allegations Made in the March and March Movement Statement https://t.co/FuEG28OaPH — NPASouthAfrica (@NPA_Prosecutes) October 15, 2026 “The NPA wishes to categorically deny that any warrant of arrest was issued, and that it does not receive instructions from political parties, holders of public office, or anyone else on its prosecutorial function.
The NPA makes independent and impartial prosecutorial decisions, guided only by the Constitution, legislation and evidence,” says NPA spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago.
Kganyago says that as a general principle, the NPA does not normally make comments on matters of operations such as possible arrests and investigations before the law enforcement process involved is completed.
“Once a matter is enrolled in the courts, the charges and reasons for prosecution will become known through the normal judicial process,” he adds.
