I loved living on Miami Beach — but after 3 years, I knew I had to leave

I spent several years living on Miami Beach in Florida.

As much as I loved living in the coastal city, a few concerns and issues led me to move back to the mainland.

India Amos As much as I loved living on Miami Beach , I decided to move inland to Miami after three years.

As a kid growing up in West Virginia, living in Florida felt like a sunshine-filled dream.

However, living in Miami Beach wasn't perfect.

Although I really enjoyed my three years in North Beach, there are three key reasons I ultimately decided to move off the beach in 2021 and settle down in mainland Miami instead.

I didn't have the risk tolerance to buy property in Miami Beach As great as it is to live near a beach, it can come with risks.

India Amos One of my favorite things about living on Miami Beach was how close I was to the ocean.
