The 2026 Hugo Awards were handed out on August 30 at LAcon V in Anaheim, California, honoring the year’s top contributions to sci-fi and fantasy on the page, screen, and beyond. This year’s event was seemingly free of the sorts of controversies that have cropped up in the recent past , which means thankfully the focus is back on authors, editors, artists, creators, hosts, and other talents who’ve now joined the list of Hugo honorees.
