Progressive Florida Democrat insists Trump was pushing 'communism' with Venezuela deal

Senate candidate and Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) member Angie Nixon accused President Donald Trump of pushing communism through his recent deal with Venezuela on Monday.

While appearing on MS NOW's "The Beat," Nixon was asked how she plans to appeal to Floridians during the Senate race, particularly Venezuelan and Cuban immigrants who feel apprehensive about the rise of socialism given their experiences in communist nations.

Nixon pointed to her record of fighting for affordability before suggesting Trump and her Republican opponent, Sen.

Ashley Moody , are the ones who are actually pushing communism.
