Rescuers use ziplines to transport trapped citizens after devastating Nepal floods decimate country's bridges

Rescue workers in Nepal were forced to use cable cars and ziplines to ferry stranded citizens across rivers after August's deadly flood and mudslide wiped out local bridges.

Video shows teams of workers yanking ropes to ferry locals who were stranded on an embankment flanked by a flooded river.

In one clip, a pair of people sit in a small box attached to a wire as they're yanked onto a platform across a river in Nuwakot, Nepal.

The rescues come as both Nepal and neighboring China continue to deal with the aftermath of the Aug.
