U.S. imposes 50% tariffs on some Canadian goods after trade talks collapse

The U.S. imposed 50% tariffs on a wide swath of Canadian goods at midnight after trade talks between the two countries collapsed.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney responded to the tariffs saying, “Canada will match those tariffs dollar for dollar.”
