Vanessa Feltz says filming for Beatles movies has left her stuck in her home

Vanessa Feltz (Ian West/PA) PA Wire Casey Cooper-Fiske 5 minutes ago TV presenter Vanessa Feltz has said filming for Sir Sam Mendes’ Beatles movies has left her stuck in her home.

Feltz, 64, posted a video on Instagram showing classic cars parked in the street and the road cordoned off on Sunday, when she said she was unable to get in or out of her road.

She said: “So Saskia (her daughter) and the children have come for lunch, but they couldn’t get in to the road at all.

“We weren’t really sure why, we thought ‘what more roadworks?’, I was just about to start objecting… no, not really, and it turns out they’re making the Beatles movie in Abbey Road.

“And can you see the cars? And we’ve just passed John Lennon’s iconic Rolls-Royce, they’re recreating the crossing of Abbey Road moment, and so therefore it’s been a bit of a thing to get both in to and out of my road.

Sir Sam Mendes directs the Beatles films (Ian West/PA) PA Archive Sir Sam’s The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event, are films about each member of the band, featuring Barry Keoghan as Sir Ringo Starr , Paul Mescal as Sir Paul McCartney, Harris Dickinson as John Lennon and Stranger Things’ Joseph Quinn as George Harrison.

Formed in 1960, The Beatles are the best-selling musical act of all time and one of the most influential groups in the world, having achieved 18 UK number one singles and 16 UK number one albums.

Westminster Council and Sony Pictures have been contacted for comment.
