Notting Hill Carnival emergency as boy, 8, vanished after becoming separated from parents

An eight-year-old boy has vanished after being separated from his parents in the crowds at Notting Hill Carnival.

Police are urgently appealing for the public's help to locate Shawn, who was last seen at around 4:42pm today (Monday), August 31, on Wedlake Street, near to Kensal Road.

He is described as black, 3ft 8in tall, and was wearing black shorts, a black top and a hat.

Officers say they are becoming "increasingly concerned" for the youngster's welfare, with extensive enquiries underway to locate him.

Anyone who has seen Shawn, or may have information about his whereabouts, has been asked to contact the Metropolitan Police immediately.
