The summer window has kicked up another gear as Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham work on huge deals on the same day the new Premier League season begins. The Gunners are wrapping up the £51million signing of Ezri Konsa , and have swooped up Manchester United pair James Scanlon and Habeeb Ogunneye . In a twist, Atletico have reportedly now decided to sell Julian Alvarez , while Kenan Yildiz continue to be of interest.

Man Utd are closing in on the signing of Carlos Baleba to complete their midfield revamp , and could next turn attentions to left-sided defender Edmond Tapsoba. Chelsea are braced for a new Man City bid for Enzo Fernandez, and could also sell Pedro Neto and Tosin Adarabioyo, as they beat Barcelona to the signing of Alfie Osborne .

Liverpool are having second thoughts on Ibrahim Mbaye amid slow progress on talks over signing Bradley Barcola, and have seen a shock bid for Yakuba Minteh rejected . Tottenham have agreed an £85m deal for Savinho, and Omar Marmoush will be next as Man City turn to Adam Wharton, Allan and Manu Kone. Follow the latest transfer news, rumours and gossip live below!

Former Manchester United forward Giuseppe Rossi has revealed his dream signing.

Speaking to BetBrothers , he said: “I love Frenkie de Jong. If De Jong becomes available now Rodri is at Barcelona, he’s the only other midfielder I would want to see signed by Manchester United this summer.

“He is an amazing player to have on any team whether it’s Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea or Bayern Munich because he dictates the tempo, moves between the lines and his understanding of space and positions is so very sound.

“That should be the sort of player a club like Manchester United always want. Listen, I don’t think they need another midfielder this summer, but if De Jong became available, he’s a player you sign.”

Getty When Ezri Konsa can make his Arsenal debut Ezri Konsa is on course to make his Arsenal debut against Aston Villa at the end of the month.

Standard Sport understands the Konsa has been Arsenal’s top defensive target all summer with manager Mikel Arteta keen to bring in reinforcements amid injuries to William Saliba and Jurrien Timber.

A deal had looked to be in doubt as the Gunners had no intention of meeting Villa’s £60million valuation of the 28-year-old, though following a breakthrough regarding a compromise, a deal worth £55m was announced on Friday.

As such, Konsa has become the Premier League champions’ fourth signing of the summer transfer window - after Illan Meslier, Christos Tzolis and Bruno Guimaraes.

However, the Gunners have lost the race against the clock to have the England international available for selection against Coventry City.
