Tottenham sign Mykhailo Mudryk from Chelsea as shock Deadline Day loan confirmed

Tottenham have completed the shock signing of Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk on loan until the end of the season.

Standard Sport understands that the deal includes a £75million option to buy the Ukrainian next summer.

Spurs, who have yet to score a league goal this season, have been in the market for attacking reinforcements despite signing Manchester City duo Omar Marmoush and Savio last week.

The north London club initially held an interest in Liverpool winger Cody Gakpo before entering negotiations for Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye.

Loan ranger: Mykhailo Mudryk Getty After both deals fell through, though, they quickly turned their attention to Mudryk, who Chelsea have been keen to loan out after his doping ban was resolved at the end of last month.

Mudryk has not played a competitive game since November 2024 but has been keen to remain in the Premier League as he looks to build his match fitness.

Chelsea also held talks with Leeds United over a loan deal, but once Spurs’ interest emerged, Mudryk gave his priority to the Blues’ London rivals.

While not Spurs’ first-choice target, Roberto De Zerbi knows Mudryk well from their time together at Shakhtar Donetsk.

Mudryk joined Chelsea from Shakhtar in a deal worth up to £89m in January 2023, signing an eight-and-a-half-year deal.
