Minister for Revenue Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy directed officials to treat every complaint received through the 22-A prohibited lands call centre as a responsibility and ensure that it was monitored until its final resolution.

Reviewing the functioning of the call centre and the status of 22-A-related applications through a teleconference with officials, the Minister assured the genuine title holders that the government would stand by them.

Officials informed the Minister that around 400 calls had been received by the call centre so far. He reviewed the complaints being received, their disposal, and the nature of the issues being raised. He also sought details of the status of 22-A applications in four districts.

Mr. Srinivas Reddy directed officials to immediately forward the complete details of every complaint received through the call centre to the concerned tahsildar, RDO, sub-registrar and other officials.

The Minister directed sub-registrars, tahsildars, RDOs and Collectors to take up both pending applications and those received over the past two or three days and dispose of them immediately.

“A person visiting a revenue office should leave with the confidence that his problem will be resolved,” he told officials. He also cautioned officials against taking decisions on their own that could cause hardship to people.
