Claiming to have murdered a man, two persons surrendered before the Dindigul Taluk Police on Monday. After searching for the victim’s body for almost five hours, the police recovered it from a secluded water body and sent it to the Government Hospital for post-mortem.
Police said that the victim was identified as Karanraj. The reason for the murder was unknown as the two suspects who had surrendered did not cooperate in confession.
A senior officer said that the victim was murdered and the body was abandoned in the tank. Since the hands and legs were tied, the post-mortem details may divulge about the injuries and other information, he added.
