Two assailants chased the victim in a rickshaw before intercepting his motorcycle and attacking him with sharp weapons.

According to preliminary investigation details, the victim was a former rowdy-sheeter and an accused in another case who had been out on bail since late 2017.

The Hubballi Police Commissioner is personally monitoring the situation, and a special police team has been formed to analyze CCTV footage and apprehend the culprits.
