A 35-year-old lorry cleaner was allegedly stabbed to death following a dispute over drinking water near an RMC Yard in Bengaluru.

The deceased has been identified as Barkat, a native of Andhra Pradesh. The police have arrested Seenappa, a native of Madhugiri, in connection with the murder.

According to the police, Barkat and Seenappa were working as lorry cleaners. After lunch on Tuesday (August 18), Seenappa reportedly asked Barkat for drinking water. When Barkat allegedly refused to give him water, an argument broke out between the two.

During the altercation, Seenappa allegedly stabbed Barkat with a knife and fled from the spot. Barkat collapsed and died from his injuries.

After receiving information about the incident from lorry drivers, RMC Yard police rushed to the spot, conducted an inspection and registered a case. The police subsequently arrested Seenappa and are continuing their investigation.
