Lorry driver seriously injured after boulders fall at quarry in Keralam’s Thiruvananthapuram

A lorry driver sustained serious injuries after a mass of boulders and loose earth fell onto his vehicle at a quarry in the Maramuttam area of Kottakkal, Neyyattinkara, in Thiruvananthapuram district of Keralam on Saturday morning.
According to the police, the incident occurred around 7 am at the quarry where several lorries had come in and parked to transport the materials.
Huge rocks and soil which loosened from the upper levels of the rockface of the quarry suddenly fell on the top of one of the lorries parked below.
The driver, identified as Anilkumar, sustained grave injuries and has been rushed to the Government Medical College Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram.
