A murder was reported in Kalaburagi district on Sunday night, with the police investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.

The body of a 35-year-old hotelier was found in a car near a hotel on the outskirts of Kalaburagi city. The deceased was identified as Siddaling Savalagi, a resident of Kanaka Nagar in Brahmapur, who reportedly ran a hotel business near the Kalaburagi Central Bus Stand.

According to the police, Siddaling had left home on Friday and had since been reported missing. His body was found in a car near a hotel on the outskirts of the city on Sunday evening.

Preliminary investigation suggests that he may have been taken in a car by some of his acquaintances and assaulted with a rod. The assailants are suspected to have left his body in the car and fled, police sources said.
