BRS to highlight Govt. failures with protests across State from Sept.2 to 8: KTR

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has decided to take up protest programmes across the State from September 2 to 8, highlighting the failures of the Congress government in fulfilling the promises made to various sections of people before the 2023 Assembly elections even after completion of 1,000 days in office.

Working president of the party K.T. Rama Rao gave instructions to the party rank and file on the protest programme that would include innovative protests explaining to people how the Revanth Reddy government had betrayed people of Telangana on 420 plus poll promises.

Mr. Rao said the party would release a chargesheet on the Congress government's failures on September 1 here, before taking up protests in the field from September 2. Dharnas would be staged in Assembly constituency headquarters on the failure to keep six guarantees, processions would be taken out with huge flex-banners and display of ‘debt-cards’ on government ‘dues’ to every household in lieu of failure to keep promises made.

Issues related to agriculture, water for irrigation, 24x7 free power to agricultural pump-sets, urea supply, Rythu Bima and inclusion of farmers’ lands under Section 22A prohibited list would be taken up in Rythu Sadassus on September 3. Special meets with women and differently-abled persons, ₹2,500 per month assistance, KCR Kit and Kalyana Lakshmi/Shaadi Mubarak would be highlighted in protests on September 4.

Rallies with students and youth, fee reimbursement, job calendar and youth declaration, drinking water supply, and other rural issues would be taken up as part of the protests on September 5 and 6. Protests will end with press meets highlighting government failures in all district headquarters.
