Swiggy, an on-demand convenience platform, on August 17 introduced its 24x7 AI Business Partner, Guru, an innovation specifically meant for its restaurant partners.

Launching across over 720 cities, Guru is expected to help over 2.7 lakh restaurants, ranging from neighbourhood kitchens to multi-outlet restaurants. This innovation reflected Swiggy’s ongoing commitment to equip restaurant partners with tools to streamline their operations, enhance profitability and democratise access to real-time insights, claimed the Bengaluru-based company.

According to Swiggy, this AI Assistant is designed to empower its restaurant partners by enabling them to take data-driven decisions, optimise sales funnels, and resolve operational queries in seconds — all through an easy-to-use, single conversational chat.

Rohit Kapoor, CEO, Swiggy Food Marketplace, said, “Today, AI has redefined how businesses operate and is driving higher efficiency across industries. Integrating AI into their everyday workflows is a natural next step in our journey together.’’

The interface is available in over 20 vernacular languages, including Hindi, Kannada and Telugu. Additionally, it can enable restaurant partners to manage their ads and discount campaigns, as well as view their payout annexures in detail, including tax reports, and payout summaries.

With Guru, Swiggy’s restaurant partners will have a 24x7 AI assistant that can help them with a variety of tasks and queries aimed at simplifying day-to-day restaurant management. Restaurant partners can use Guru to start, review, and modify their ad campaigns instantly — all via a single chat prompt.

In addition, restaurant partners can get a full funnel analysis of their GMV (gross merchandise value) and orders, along with a detailed report on what is not working well, and recommendations to fix it. Guru has been designed to evaluate across key metrics, including sales, orders, AOV (average order value), and over 30 other metrics, tracked consistently over time.

“Having partnered with restaurants for over 12 years, Swiggy has understood the operational demands and constant multi-tasking that its partners navigate every single day,” Mr. Kapoor said adding, “With Guru, we are introducing an intuitive, AI-first assistant that redefines daily restaurant management, providing 24x7 support, faster query resolution, and actionable performance insights that help grow their business.”
