Straightpath International School wins CBSE English fest

Straightpath International School, Panakkad, won the overall championship at ‘Lingua Fanta 26’, the English festival organised by the CBSE Sahodaya School Complex, Malappuram region, at Peace Public School, Kottakkal, on Thursday (August 20).

More than 750 students from 44 CBSE schools competed in 23 events across three categories for Classes 3 to 12 and an open category.

Straightpath International School topped the overall standings with 279 points, followed by Gems Public School, Kooriyad, with 248 points, and MES Engineering College Campus Senior Secondary School, Kuttippuram, with 244 points.

Straightpath won Category I and the open category; Benchmark International School, Tirur, won Category II; and Peace Public School, Vengara, won Category III.

In the English short film competition, Straightpath’s Hear Me won first place, followed by MES Kuttippuram’s Beyond Cute and Thiruvayal Gemford World School’s Light on Me .

Sahodaya School Complex Malappuram region president M. Abdul Nazar distributed the overall prizes. General secretary M. Jouhar presented the category prizes. Organising secretary Jobin Sebastian and other office-bearers attended the valedictory function.
