Continuing its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, the Jai Raj Ispat Limited has launched a comprehensive mega plantation drive at the premises of its steel plant in Kurnool. The campaign was inaugurated on August 14 by the company’s founder and managing director S.K. Goenka, who planted the first two saplings to mark the start of the initiative.

According to a press release, 6,450 saplings will be planted over the next three months and the selected species comprise 4,300 Bougainvillea (Thimma) and 2,150 Nerium Oleander plants. These varieties were specifically chosen for their robust ecological value, resilience, and long-term capability to enrich the surrounding landscape.

The drive exemplifies Jai Raj Ispat Limited’s steadfast dedication to sustainable development and responsible corporate citizenship. By significantly expanding the green cover within and around the manufacturing premises, the company supports local biodiversity, enhances air quality, and fosters a broader culture of environmental awareness.

On the occasion, Mr. Goenka said, “For us, sustainability must be demonstrated through concrete action and not remain limited to intent. The mega plantation drive is a vital component of our broader strategy to integrate environmental responsibility into our core operations. As an organisation we are determined to build an industrial ecosystem where business growth and ecological stewardship progress together.”
