Major General G. Srinivas, Vishisht Seva Medal, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Telangana and Andhra Sub Area (TASA), Secunderabad, and Chairman, Local Board of Administration (LBA), visited Sainik School Kalikiri for the first time as the school celebrated its 12th Raising Day.

On his arrival, Major General Srinivas was accorded a Guard of Honour by the school’s NCC cadets. He toured the campus, inspected the training and administrative facilities and reviewed the arrangements for the overall development of the cadets.

He inaugurated the newly constructed weightlifting arena under the ‘One School One Sport’ initiative. Later, the school authorities briefed him on its academic and administrative activities.

Addressing the cadets at a special assembly, Major General Srinivas, an alumnus of Sainik School Korukonda, recalled his days as a cadet and the formative experiences that shaped his career in the Defence Services.

Established in 2014, Sainik School Kalikiri marked its 12th Raising Day with a ceremonial cake-cutting and a special lunch for the cadets. The celebrations highlighted the school’s defence-oriented legacy and its contribution to the Armed Forces.

This year, six cadets of the school have joined the National Defence Academy and Officers’ Training Academy, while five others were commissioned into the Armed Forces earlier this year.
