Five-day Lok Samvardhan Parv-2026 to be held in Bengaluru from September 26

A five-day ‘Lok Samvardhan Parv-2026’, aimed at promoting cultural activities and empowerment of minority communities, will be held at Palace Grounds in Bengaluru from September 26, Minister for Housing, Wakf and Minority Welfare U.T. Khader said on Thursday.

Addressing presspersons, the Minister said the event is being organised in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Minority Affairs. Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, and Union Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju will inaugurate the event on the morning of September 26. Deputy Chief Minister G. Parameshwara and Ministers Priyank Kharge, K.J. George, Zameer Ahmed Khan and Rizwan Arshad are among those expected to attend.

The event will provide a platform to showcase cultural arts, handicrafts, and other products made by minority communities. Around 180 stalls are being set up to facilitate the display and sale of handicrafts and other products from different States and districts of Karnataka. Interested artisans and producers can apply for stalls, Mr. Khader said.

The event will also include seminars, discussions, and interactive sessions on the growing use of technology across different sectors.

Producers and other participants will be provided information on artificial intelligence and the adoption of technology to improve their work and businesses, the Minister said.

The exhibition will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the five-day event. Cultural and entertainment programmes will also be organised.

Mr. Khader appealed to the public to participate in large numbers and make the event a success.
