2nd Test: India struggle to finish off tail as Sonal, Pasindu lead Lanka resistance

Sri Lanka ended Day 3 at 265/8, resisting India’s bowlers through a determined lower-order fightback.

Sonal Dinusha remained unbeaten on 85, while Pasindu Sooriyabandara scored 80.

India had reduced Sri Lanka to 216/7 but failed to finish the innings.

Dinusha’s partnerships with Keshara Nuwantha and Lahiru Kumara frustrated India, leaving Sri Lanka 38 runs short of avoiding the follow-on.
