A fugitive software engineer wanted for murder in Maryland was arrested in Agra.

Arjun Sharma was apprehended by Telangana Police following an Interpol Red Corner Notice.

He allegedly killed Nikitha Godishala on December 31, 2025, over a monetary dispute.

A Delhi court has now cleared the way for his extradition proceedings to the US.

The arrest followed a cheating case registered by the victim's family in India.
