The Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya organised a Raksha Bandhan programme for journalists at the Vizag Journalists Forum Press Club at Daba Gardens on Thursday.

City Police Commissioner Shankhabrata Bagchi, attended as the chief guest, said Raksha Bandhan symbolises brotherhood and urged people to cultivate a spirit of service and help others. He also called for nurturing spiritual values, avoiding harmful addictions and adopting a positive way of life.

VMRDA chairman Pranav Gopal, Kanaka Mahalakshmi Temple chairman Kandla Nagaraju, actor Prasanna Kumar and journalist representatives attended the programme.

Organiser B.K. Rameswari said the Brahma Kumaris conducted the annual Raksha Bandhan programme for journalists and tied rakhis to them.
