Kyrgyzstan anticipates new opportunities from Xi's upcoming visit

Erlist Akunbekov, Kyrgyz Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, said bilateral ties are underpinned by a high level of political trust, which is increasingly being translated into concrete investment projects, advanced technologies and production capacity.
"The Kyrgyz side always keeps the door open to Chinese enterprises and looks forward to more long-term investment, advanced technologies and high-quality projects in Kyrgyzstan," he said, adding that Xi's visit will open up new space for bilateral cooperation.
Ravshanbek Sabirov, head of the National Investment Agency, pointed out that cooperation between the two countries has expanded into industries like energy, agriculture, transportation, digital technology and tourism.
He expressed hope that Xi's visit will further advance bilateral ties and encourage more Chinese companies to invest in Kyrgyzstan.
Former Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Alikbek Jekshenkulov described Xi's visit as another important milestone in bilateral relations, saying ties between the two countries are entering a period of increasingly substantive cooperation and fruitful results.
