Two suffer serious injuries after vehicle hits pole on Fallowfield Road

Two people were taken to hospital with serious injuries following a single-vehicle collision on Fallowfield Road early Tuesday morning.

At about 5:22 a.m. on Sept. 1, Ottawa Police Service officers responded to the scene near Old Richmond Road.

According to an Ottawa Paramedic Service spokesperson, the vehicle had left the road and struck a pole, adding that both occupants were taken to hospital in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police, in a news release, had identified the driver as a 22-year-old man and the passenger as a 22-year-old woman.

They said Fallowfield between Old Richmond and Eagleson Road would remain closed until late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning for pole repairs.

Anyone with information about the collision, or who may have cameras on their property or home, or a dash cam that may have captured the incident, was asked to contact the Fatal Collision Investigation Unit at 613-236-1222, extension 2345.
