Brewers’ Jake Bauers wins NLCS MVP award
Jake Bauers powered the Milwaukee Brewers into the World Series and has been awarded for his efforts.
Bauers was named the MVP of the National League Championship Series after the Brewers swept the Los Angeles Dodgers with 6-4 win in Game 4.
The first baseman had three RBIs in the clinching game, and six total in the series, and a big home run in Game 3.
The performance comes two years after Bauers considered retirement after the 2024 season and his career appearing to be stalled. But encouragement from his family helped him return to the field and he had a career year in 2026, hitting 26 home runs and collecting 86 RBIs in 144 games.
The Brewers, who have never won the World Series, will face the winner of the ALCS between the Cleveland Guardians and Tampa Bay Rays.
