PenderFund Capital Management launches Global Small/Mid Cap Opportunities Fund

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Aug. 31, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — PenderFund Capital Management Ltd. (“Pender”) is pleased to announce the launch of the Pender Global Small/Mid Cap Opportunities Fund, designed to offer investors attractive risk-adjusted returns from exposure to growing global small- and mid-cap companies.

The fund will be managed by Teresa Lee, CFA, Head of Equity Research at Pender and co-manager of the Pender Global Small/Mid Cap Equity Fund.

Teresa joined Pender in January 2026, bringing over 25 years of investment management experience. Her last industry position was as Co-CIO of Sionna Investment Managers where she managed small cap, all cap and high conviction mandates. Since joining Pender, Teresa has been familiarizing herself with Pender’s equity funds and becoming deeply integrated into the firm’s collaborative research process.
