Canucks activate forward Filip Chytil from IR

The Vancouver Canucks could see a veteran presence return to the lineup soon.

Filip Chytil has been activated from the injured reserve, the Canucks announced Thursday.

Chytil has been out with a shoulder injury he suffered during the pre-season and has yet to make his 2026-27 season debut.

The 27-year-old is expected to be back in the lineup Thursday as the Canucks are in Sunrise to take on the Florida Panthers (7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT on Sportsnet Pacific and Sportsnet+).

Chytil was limited to only 12 games last season due to migraines and an injury after being struck by a puck. He had three goals.
