Game 4 of ALCS between Rays, Guardians to begin in rain delay

The weather continues to play its part in this year's American League Championship Series.

Game 4 of the series between the Cleveland Guardians and Tampa Bay Rays on Friday night at Progressive Field will begin in a rain delay, MLB announced ahead of the scheduled 8:08 p.m. first pitch.

The league said it will provide updates regarding the preparation of the field and any other potential adjustments as they become available.

Thursday's Game 3 was also impacted by the weather in Cleveland, with MLB moving the start time up to avoid showers later in the day.

Friday's game has Rays right-hander Nick Martinez set to take the mound opposite Guardians opener Shawn Armstrong.
