Live: SA Police provides update on Gus Lamont disappearance case

South Australian Police are about to give an update on the disappearance of four-year-old Gus Lamont.

It has been almost a year since the boy was reported missing from his home at Oak Park Station — a vast property near Yunta in South Australia's outback.

While there have been various updates and searches since he disappeared, today's press conference about the investigation is expected to be the first significant development for months.

In a statement distributed by SA Police in February, Gus's parents Jess and Josh said they were united in their grief and search for answers.

"Our lives have been shattered, and every moment without him is unbearable," they said.

"If someone knows what happened, we are pleading with that person — or anyone who may have seen or heard anything — to please come forward.

"Even the smallest detail could give us the answers we so desperately need."
