Alleged gunman arrested a year after brazen kebab shop shooting in western Sydney

An alleged gunman has been arrested after a brazen daylight shooting in a kebab shop in Sydney’s west.

The 31-year-old was nabbed at Narwee on Friday, more than a year after three people were shot in wild scenes at the Auburn kebab shop.

Two masked men entered the eatery on South Parade at about 1.10pm on June 16, 2025.

Police say the men fired several shots before fleeing the scene in a dark blue Audi Q7 with cloned number plates.

A 26-year-old man suffered wounds to his shoulder and arm, a 47-year-old woman was shot four times in the torso, and a 25-year-old man was shot in the face.

The woman and the 25-year-old man are expected to face long-term complications as a result of their injuries, police say.

Three cars were later found burnt out on Wigram St in Harris Park, Hilltop Road in Merrylands and Gerald St in Greystanes.
